Organization
The Ventura Social Service Task Force (VSSTF) is the one
organization recognized by Ventura County, and tasked by the City
Council of the City of Ventura, to end homelessness in the City of
Ventura, according to the
"10-Year Strategy to End Homelessness for Ventura County".
This decade-long Ventura project started on July 1, 2007, as part of
a US-wide effort to use a "Housing First" model to end homelessness
with the guidance and support of the
United States Interagency Council on Homelessness.
Ventura's VSSTF is an inclusive, volunteer organization.
Everyone in our community is invited to join us around the table to
craft the actions moving us to the day when "Everyone Has a Place".
Committees
VSSTF subcommittees do the work that will accomplish the goal.
The subcommittees are: Housing Options,
Homeless Prevention,
Community Education, and an affinity subcommittee of
Faith-Based
Organizations.
Each subcommittee is represented here. Let your interest guide
you to your area of personal passion.
We want this site to inform and engage you, and we thank you for your interest in your city!
